Q: When and where are Beshert's events?
A: Beshert has meetings Monday at the JCC from 7-8pm, and programs every Saturday from 7-9pm. These programs are usually hosted at member's houses. In addition, the chapter celebrates Shabbat together on Fridays once a month at a member's house. The address for Shabbats and programs will be sent in email comms each week! There are also occasionally fundraisers and bake sales, for which the times and addresses will be sent in comms.
Q: What are conventions and how do they work?
A: Conventions are typically held over 2-3 days, usually on the weekends, at hotels, camps, or convention centers. There are multiple held throughout the year, ranging from a small scale chapter convention to International Convention. The purpose of these events is to bring together BBYO members from the chapter, region, or even the world, and to teach invaluable leadership skills to carry with us during our time in BBYO.

Allyson Silver loves to be Beshert’s advisor! As an alumni of Beshert, it’s such a joy to give back to the chapter. Allyson went to Wootton High School and then Tulane University. When she’s not advising, she works as the Manager of Strategic Human Resources for Hillel International. She lives in Bethesda and loves spending time with friends and family, doing Peloton workouts, and trying new restaurants!
